App Recommendations

  1. JustMove | We recommend using this app if you want to use the Virtual Race feature. This app allows users to run a specified distance set by the Kilos for Kofkin Group. You can also see other users in the Virtual 5k group and see how they’re doing in their races. The downside to this app is that it is not very user friendly, but no worries we have instructions! (See below for instructions)

  2. STRAVA | We recommend using this app if you are more interested in “ease of use.” The downside to this app is that there is no Virtual Race feature, so you will have to make sure to screenshot your results after your race.

  3. Apple/Smart Watch | If you prefer to use your Apple Watch or other Smart Watch for tracking, use it! This has the same Pros/Cons as STRAVA - you won’t be in the Virtual 5k group but it will be very easy to track and then screenshot.


JustMove Instructions | Join the Virtual 5k Group

  1. Download JustMove from your app store.

  2. Sign up for an account & make sure to use the same full name you used for the 5k registration.

  3. Allow JustMove to access your location while using the app.

  4. After you finish setting up your account, click on the red plus sign at the top center of the home page.

  5. Choose the option “Subscribe” and search for “One Step at a Time 5k - Kilos for Kofkin

  6. Join the group, then navigate to the “Challenges” tab to find the 5k race.

  7. Start & track your race whenever you’re ready! (after Aug 31st, of course)
